In Turkey, Bezoar Ibex are pursued through rugged alpine country with spot-and-stalk tactics, alongside Anatolian Red Stag and Wild Boar, and the trip can be paired with the region’s historical sites, cuisine and culture. The founding moment of APEX itself came while watching Bezoar Ibex in the rut in Turkey’s Taurus Mountains. Kyrgyzstan is a true expedition: long stalks over rock and scree for Mid-Asian Ibex, Argali and the legendary Marco Polo Sheep, with base camps and traditional yurts as home. The portfolio also extends to Mongolia, Pakistan and Tajikistan for Argali, Markhor and Urial.
